Il mondo agli occhi di Nicole Voltan
Nicole Voltan è un’artista dall’attitudine scientifica: osserva, analizza, crea dalla natura all’arte con la natura stessa, sia essa terreste o celeste.
Le sue opere prendono spunto dal fatto naturale che viene sottoposto ad uno sguardo scientifico e storico-mitologico. E’ un rifarsi alla storia di antichi saperi, di miti e credenze da sempre attribuiti alla sfera celeste e ai suoi corpi luminosi.
Un ritorno, il suo, a un sentire primordiale nei confronti della Terra e della vita organica e inorganica, i cui processi lei stessa sperimenta per rendercene partecipi e per ricordarci di esserne parte.
Nella sua visione, quasi cosmologica, prende un dettaglio del “tutto”, lo amplifica, lo rende macroscopico, lo analizza, ne mette in evidenza la sua evoluzione dandogli una coerenza formale e concettuale. Viceversa, lavora sul macroscopico che come materia plasmabile, riduce, interpreta e divulga.
L’infinitesimamente piccolo e l’infinitamente grande sono resi a misura d’uomo, affinché possano essere sottoposti al suo sguardo, al suo raziocinio e alle sue emozioni.
Anche l’istallazione 88 trame è dunque una rielaborazione dell’universo, concepita come un ambiente sinestetico fatto di materia, luci, ombre, suoni e silenzi.
Lo spettatore è attratto visivamente e sensorialmente da Araneide da cui è poi possibile allontanarsi seguendo le scie luminose delle costellazioni limitrofe, come Re eroi e regine, Gli uccelli del cielo e Lo Zodiaco.
Araneide è una tela di seta bianca su cui vengono riportati i confini delle volta celeste puntellata dalle stelle più lucenti.
Perché Araneide? Per l'assonanza nominale con gli Araneidi, ragni tessitori della sottocategoria degli Aracnidi che secernono e tessono un filo di seta per catturare le prede e proteggere le loro uova.
Un universo a grandezza umana, dove l’azione artistica si fonde con l’atto del tessere una trama che porta in se le tracce dell’universo in espansione e in continuo divenire; ad amplificarla il suono di 8minuti/luce che evoca atmosfere lontane e metafisiche.
Una trama da cui siamo catturati e di cui ci sentiamo inconsapevolmente parte.
Se oggi l’uomo tralascia distrattamente la bellezza che lo circonda, ora è indotto a riscoprire, sedotto dalla complessità dell’opera, il rapporto con la natura.
L’istallazione site-specific presentata alla Whitecubealpigneto riesce ad abbattere i confini fisici, spaziali e materiali, creando – nello spettatore – uno scorcio d’infinito cosmico.

The world to the eyes of Nicole Voltan
Nicole Voltan
is an artist with scientific attitudes, she observes, analyzes, creates art
from nature with nature, both terrestrial or celestial.
Her works
are inspired by the natural fact which is subjected to a look scientific,
historical and mythological. It 's a refer to the history of ancient knowledge,
myths and beliefs has always been attributed to the celestial sphere and its
luminous bodies.
She returns
to a primordial feel to the Earth and of life organic and inorganic, she tests
these processes to acquaint us this experiences and to remind us to be part
of it
In her
view, almost cosmological takes a detail of the "whole", amplifies,
makes macroscopic analyzes, it highlights the evolution giving a formal and
conceptual coherence. On the other hand, works on the macroscopic as pliable
material, reduces, interprets and disseminates.
The
infinitely small and the infinitely large are made on a human scale, so that
they can be subjected to her gaze, her reason and her emotions.
Even the
installation 88 plots is therefore a reworking of the universe, conceived as a
synesthetic environment made of matter, lights, shadows, sounds and silences.
The viewer
is attracted visually and sensorially by Araneide from which it is possible to
get away following the light trails of the neighboring constellations, as King
heroes and queens, the birds of the sky and The Zodiac.
Araneide is
a canvas of white silk on which shows the boundaries of the sky dotted by the
brightest stars.
Why
Araneide? For the 'nominal similarity with Araneidi, spiders weavers
subcategory of Arachnids that secrete and weave a thread of silk to catch prey
and protect their eggs.
A universe
of human size, where the artistic action merges with the act of weaving a plot
that bears within itself the traces of the expanding and ever-changing, to
amplify the sound of 8minutes/light evoking memories away and metaphysical.
A plot from
which we captured and we feel unconsciously part.
If today
the man casually ignores the beauty that surrounds him, now is led to discover,
seduced by the complexity of the relationship with nature.
The site-specific installation presented at
Whitecubealpigneto able to break down the boundaries of physical space and
materials, creating - in the audience - a glimpse of the infinite cosmos.
